Jigsaw Members, Contacts, and Visitors
To discuss privacy on Jigsaw, it is important to understand that there are three different groups in play:
- Jigsaw Members. These are people who sign-up for Jigsaw's services and add (and maintain) the records on the Jigsaw Directory. Important note: signing up as a Jigsaw Member does not automatically add your data to the Jigsaw Directory. (This is a common misconception). The document that outlines how we protect a member's privacy is our Privacy Policy. Jigsaw Members must also adhere to the Jigsaw Terms of Use.
- Business Professionals who are listed in the Jigsaw Directory (also known as "Contacts"). You don't need to be a Jigsaw Member to be listed in our Directory. Friends or acquaintances may have added you, or perhaps you added yourself, as the Jigsaw Directory is a valuable tool for marketing, sales, recruiting, and professional development. The document that explains in more detail how we compile and remove data from our Jigsaw Database is our Fair Information Statement (FIS).
- Jigsaw Website Visitors. These are people who visit the Website, whether or not they decide to sign-up for our services, or are in our Directory. The Jigsaw Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use govern our relationship with Website visitors.
